….are on the menu for our homecoming night. I’m too overcome with emotion to say much besides thank you.

She will need surgery within a couple of weeks but she looks great. I have never been happier or more relieved. Vicodin has nothing on this.

Welcome to the world sweet girl. It’s a better place with you here.

  1. General Tso’s chicken and a healthy, gorgeous new baby? You got it made, girly. SO, SO, SO glad your little bitty is a-okay. Love to you.

  2. Congrats on your little girl. i hope the cyst continues to look and be unremarkable. I almost shit my pants when they refused to let me hold my son until after a cardiologist did an echo cardiogram. I only had like 57 ultrasounds and no one picked up a problem before hand? All turned out well and I wish the same for you

  3. Thank GOD! I am so happy for you, Becks. SO happy. Oh. I am literally sniveling with relief.

Dear Universe: I owe you one. And I take back all those bad things I said about you when I was late to work on Thursday.

  4. That sounds like the perfect coming-home meal. And I am so relieved to know that she’s going to be okay. Being scared for your kid’s welfare is the scariest thing I can imagine. Congratulations on the good news and the beautiful baby!

  5. Oh yay! I’ve been obsessively watching Daver’s facebook status waiting for an update. Champagne also goes great with tater tots in case the Chinese food doesn’t work out. Congratulations again on your gorgeous girl!

  6. Congrats and have a good homecoming and a wonderful night with your precious baby girl and glad all things are turning out ok for you guys….YAY!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Yippee!! I’m going to have a celebratory cocktail in your honor tonight. Here’s to you and Ameila. I’m so relieved that everything’s ok. Can’t wait to see photos, but I will wait. Enjoy your homecoming, and don’t you even think about us internets.

  8. Thank God!

Enjoy that baby! (Not that you have to be told to do that!) So glad that there’s not much to worry about, and that you are going home!

  9. I couldn’t stop thinking about you and Amelia last night. I am SO relieved that she gets to go home WITH you! I forgot to buy bubbly at the store, but i did buy beer, I’ll celebrate with that. Deal?!
    HUGS!!!!

  10. Fuckin’A Right!!! She’s a Harks Baby!

  11. Very happy to read this! Way to be a fighter, Amelia! You’ve got a whole band of internet people cheering for you. And Becky? You are one strong Mama. Congrats to your whole family.

  12. Becky, I’m so glad all is well… have been thinking about you guys so much for the past couple of days. Have a great first night at home with Amelia, bubbly, and Chinese food– you deserve it!

  13. oh, new mommy love, I miss it so. I want to snuggle her and kiss her cheekies! Tell her I said, “HI!”, k?

Enjoy that champagne because no one deserves it more than you do right now.

  15. I *just* caught up on Amelia’s story — I’m so sorry I’m late! 🙁 I’m very glad to hear she’s okay and that you’re all doing well. Even though I’m a day late and a dollar short, I’ll be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. *love & hugs*

  16. CONGRAGULATIONS!!!!! I’m so happy for you and the Davver! The siblings will just have to learn to deal with having a sister!
Sounds like you and the babe are being released today! Enjoy the champagne & Chinese food – and get enough of so you can have leftovers tomorrow.
Please post a picture of Amelia – when you can!

  17. Just joining your loving and relieved ranks. Thinking very good thoughts for Amelia. BTW, you remember that Ted Danson Lifetime Movie: There’s Something About Amelia? Is that what you named her after?

  18. I’m so glad the news is good so far. My cousin had a daughter last year with a syst like that. It ended up being just brain fluid (no brain matter). They found it when she was pregnant, and had a lot of time to worry. It ended up fine. She had surgery when she was a few months old to fix it, and she just turned one in December. She is an adorable, smiling, wonderful baby. I’ll be keeping you guys in my thoughts and hoping for the same outcome for your Amelia!
